Jump Up For Kids Team
Director & Principal
Madeline is a huge advocate of children balancing their time in front of screens with time playing outside where they ignite all of their senses. At work and through her own children, she sees the joy in children’s eyes as they rise up to meet the challenges that nature provides. Madeline started Jump Up For Kids to help support children and families to develop independence and resilience in their daily lives. Jump Up For Kids brings together Madeline’s Occupational Therapy, teaching and parenting experience to offer children a ‘just right’ experience in a world that often feels hurried and stressed.
Kaitlyn is passionate about her work of supporting children and their families to feel confident and competent to meet the joys and challenges of day to day life. Her work as a paediatric OT has allowed her to develop specialist skills in play, toileting, feeding and self help skills.
Jennie joins the Jump Up for Kids team with experience as an OT in community services, mental health and specialised pediatric equipment, as well as experience as a mum of two small children. She is excited to support children, and their families so that they find their own way to thrive at play, home and school. Jennie has a particular interest in the influence of nature-based play in promoting healthy childhood development.
Nicolle Embra is a Cyber Safety Expert focused on helping parents to create safer online environments and balanced screen time use for their children. With 3 children of her own and a 20+ year career in IT, Nicolle is not only confident with device parental controls and restrictions, but her step-by-step systems for deciding on and managing screen time in the family home is developed through research and her own experiences of raising a family.
With over ten years experience, Polly is the guru of all things to do with health administration. Polly is the reason Jump Up For Kids runs smoothly (most days). She works part time for Jump Up For Kids and at other times maybe found wiping crayon off walls, rescuing people from high places and practicing her negotiation skills (she is the mum of two adventurous, noisy yet ever so delightful young boys).
